2. Bookkeeping & VAT.

We offer a comprehensive bookkeeping and VAT service that is both cost effective and tailored to the needs of our clients. This service is available to all types of businesses, from Sole Traders to Limited Companies and Partnerships. Our level of involvement in this area varies from client to client, from a complete service where the client has very minimal input, to quarter end VAT reviews where client completes the majority of bookkeeping entries themselves. Whatever your bookkeeping and VAT needs, our team of accounting professionals have the knowledge and experience required to deliver absolute accuracy in a timely manor. 3. Payroll & CIS.

Administering payroll and CIS can often be time consuming and complex, while diverting time away from what you do best. In addition, the penalty regime inflicted by HM Revenue & Customs with respect to late or false submissions makes any mistakes rather costly.


We present to you our comprehensive payroll outsourcing solution that is both cost effective and designed to satisfy the ever evolving payroll requirements set out by HM Revenue & Customs. Our basic payroll package includes; processing any basic hours, salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, as well as any statutory payments. We will provide detailed and secure payslips for distribution to your employees along with the associated payroll summaries for your review. Once approved, we will file the associated RTI (real time information) report and advise of any PAYE liability due to HM Revenue & Customs. We offer an upgrade to our newly launched Email Payslip Facility which was introduced to reduce the amount of time you spend distributing payslips to employees, as well as minimising your business' carbon footprint. This entails us distributing email payslips direct to your employees for each given pay period. The email itself can be tailored to include your business' email signature or logo, as well as a short message to your employees. Security and confidentiality is of paramount importance to us, therefore any payslip provided direct to an employee will be password protected. This password will be completely unique to each employee and will be provided to them during the initial setup, or for new employees, prior to receiving their first payslip.

6. Tax Investigations Service.

At Paul Phillis & Co we understand that tax is a little word with big implications. That’s why we work hard to give you the best possible advice and strategies to make tax altogether less taxing.

 

A tax investigation could cost you money even if you’ve done nothing wrong. HMRC are using sophisticated software to target all taxpayers. The very thought of an HMRC enquiry can be daunting but when you are selected for investigation, we can help you at every step of the process. Early professional representation is an essential part of your defence, this takes time, expense and flexibility on our behalf.

 

Our Tax Investigation Service in partnership with Markel Tax includes:

 

  • Representation from us in the event of an HMRC investigation, with zero excess and £125,000 fees indemnity.

7. Company Secretarial.
