Paul gained his qualification to engage in public practice as a Charted Accountant on the first day of March 1997. While this naturally shows his age and explains the plethora of grey hairs, it demonstrates Paul's experience, having now served clients as a Chartered Accountant for over 25 years. Paul spent several years consolidating his knowledge in large world renowned practices, and then moved into a smaller practice to focus on the needs of small and medium sized businesses. Subsequently, Paul established Paul Phillis & Co in 2007 with a vision to bring large practice expertise without the large practice price tag.

From a personal point of view, Paul occasionally enjoys a round of golf, although more regularly relishes in the meticulous maintenance of his scintillating motor car and the periodic amusement of his two beloved hounds, Alfred and Albert.

Rachel joined the Paul Phillis & Co team in 2015 when she began her career in public practice accounting. Subsequently, Rachel became a fully qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2021.

Rachel now has over 7 years' experience working in public practice and is involved in all aspects of personal and company taxation, and accounts preparation.

From a personal point of view, Rachel enjoys exploring the local area via foot, often accompanied by her loyal companion, Bow, the family spaniel. Furthermore, Rachel occasionally indulges in live music events, but far more systematically hones in on the local drinking establishments where she fine tunes her spectacular cider tasting prowess.

Tom joined the Paul Phillis & Co team back in 2014 when he began his accountancy career. Since then, Tom has worked his way up the ranks while accumulating over 8 years of knowledge and experience in public practice accounting.

Tom specialises in payroll, P11D & benefits in kind, management accounts, and company accounts preparation.

From a personal point of view, Tom is a keen golfer having been a member of the Monmouthshire Golf Club for well over a decade. In addition, Tom courageously exercises his wealth of accounting knowledge while investing in select public companies, taking great pride in being a diminutive owner of some of the world's most renowned conglomerates.
